Passports

You need a valid passport to travel to Colombia.

Make sure your passport is valid 6 months post travel, or they will not let you get on the plane. ***This means that your passport expiration date must be dated after February 14th, 2025 (or later, depending on your departure date from Cartagena)

CARTAGENA AIRPORT

The airport in Cartagena is: Rafael Nuñez International Airport (CTG) - which is a 10 minute drive to the Walled City of Old Cartagena/The Old City/Old Town/Ciudad Amurallada.

ROUTES

You can find nonstop flights from the US into Cartagena (CTG) on Avianca (Star Alliance) from Miami (MIA) and New York (JFK), and on Delta (SkyTeam) from Atlanta (ATL). Additionally, JetBlue often offers flight deals from the US with nonstop flights to Cartagena from New York (JFK) and Ft. Lauderdale (FLL).

Average flight times departing from the following cities:

JFK: 4.5 hours

IAD: 7 hours

MIA: 2 1/2 hours

LAX: 8 1/2 hours
